Strengthening International Partnerships

Ntesports' Visit to Kenya
At Ntesports, we firmly believe that esports has the power to create opportunities, develop skills and bring communities together, regardless of where they are in the world.
Our recent visit to Kenya was a fantastic example of exactly that.
Building the Future Together
One of the highlights of the trip was finally meeting Ronny Lusigi, President of the Esports Kenya Federation.
Although we had spoken regularly over the past few years through online meetings and LinkedIn, nothing compares to sitting down face-to-face to discuss the future of esports in Kenya.
It quickly became clear that we share the same ambitions: to use esports as a vehicle for education, youth development and sustainable industry growth.
Following an incredibly positive meeting, we are delighted to have agreed to work together on four key strategic pillarsthat will help support, grow and develop esports across Kenya.
This marks the beginning of what we believe will become a long-term partnership, and one that we’re incredibly excited to be part of.
Celebrating Grassroots Esports at NIBS Technical College
The trip concluded with an unforgettable visit to NIBS Technical College in Ruiru, where Ntesports proudly attended the NIBS x CZY Esports Showdown, organised by our partners at CZY Esports.
The atmosphere throughout the day was incredible.
Hundreds of students packed the venue to compete, support their friends and experience competitive gaming in an inclusive and exciting environment. Players battled it out in EA Sports FC 26 and Call of Duty: Mobile, while spectators created an atmosphere that demonstrated just how quickly esports continues to grow across Kenya.
The event wasn’t simply about winning matches.
With free entry for all NIBS students and prize money on offer, the tournament showcased how esports can provide accessible opportunities, encourage participation and introduce young people to a rapidly expanding global industry.
National Recognition
The event also attracted significant media attention, with coverage from two national television stations.
Throughout the day, I had the privilege of taking part in several television interviews, discussing the growth of esports education, the international partnership between Ntesports and CZY Esports, and the exciting future of the industry in Kenya.
It was fantastic to see the level of interest from both the media and the wider public, further highlighting the momentum esports is building across the country.
A Vision Becoming Reality
One of the most rewarding aspects of the visit was seeing the vision of NIBS Technical College brought to life through the passion and commitment of Allan ‘Serge’ Kimani, Johann Mackboush, and the entire team at CZY Esports.
As proud partners of CZY Esports since 2024, we’ve watched the organisation continue to grow, building meaningful partnerships and creating opportunities for young people throughout Kenya.
Events like the NIBS x CZY Esports Showdown demonstrate exactly why grassroots esports matters. They create pathways into education, careers and competition while giving students a platform to showcase their talent and develop valuable transferable skills.
Looking Ahead
This visit reinforced something we’ve believed for a long time: esports is truly a global community.
The challenges and opportunities may differ from country to country, but the passion, ambition and commitment to supporting young people remain the same.
We’re excited about the next chapter of our partnership with the Esports Kenya Federation and CZY Esports, and we’re proud that Ntesports can play a small role in helping esports continue to flourish in Kenya.
The future is incredibly bright, and this is only the beginning.
