Phynai Esports Raises Over £520 for Charity

Ntesports would like to congratulate the team at Phynai Esports for their impressive fundraising efforts, which have successfully raised over £520 for Get Well Gamers. This charity is dedicated to providing video games, consoles, and other entertainment to individuals in hospitals, hospices, and healthcare settings, helping to manage pain and provide much-needed distraction during long stays.

Phynai Esports organised two key events to raise the funds.
The first was a 24-hour live stream held on June 25th, starting at 3 PM, and concluding at 3 PM on June 26th.
The stream featured a variety of games including Overcooked 2, Overwatch 2, MultiVersus, Minecraft, Fall Guys, JackBox, Deceit, Among Us, Dead By Daylight, and Rocket League.
The live stream was hosted on Robert’s Twitch channel (https://www.twitch.tv/bbgrux) and Henry’s YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/@MoremooseCreator), with different guests joining in for each game and various other activities.
During the live stream, team members Henry and Robert took on the role of streamers, staying up for the full 24 hours, while Rohan and Bella managed the chat to ensure a positive viewing experience.
This division of responsibilities showcased the team’s collaborative spirit and dedication to their cause.
The second event was an in-person Overwatch tournament held on July 1st at Queen Mary’s Yoyotech Esports Arena in Basingstoke.
This event featured a showdown between Queen Mary’s College and Andover College in a 5v5 format.
Attendees could view the match from the QMSamuari building, where food and drinks were sold, with proceeds also going to Get Well Gamers.
Additionally, a raffle was held with prizes provided by sponsors.

Isabella Shahinian from Phynai Esports emphasised the importance of teamwork in their fundraising success, stating, “As a team, we all collectively worked together to organise this event. We all had different jobs and responsibilities, and this is why our fundraising went so well.”

Ntesports, proud sponsors of the events, were joined by Okupoku, a YouTuber, illustrator, and streamer with over 40,000 views, 500 subscribers, and 376 Twitch followers. Okupoku also runs an online shop and Etsy store where she sells custom prints, earrings, bookmarks, and more.

Nik Turner, Ntesports Managing Director, expressed the company’s commitment to supporting grassroots events, saying, “As an organisation, we are keen to support grassroots events wherever we can. Offering prizes and giveaways to a charity event for such a good cause is something we were proud to support.”
