NTesports Proud to Support CTRL Esports' 2024 Charity Valorant Tournament
NTesports is thrilled to announce its ongoing support for CTRL Esports as they host their 2024 CTRL Charity Valorant Tournament, a grassroots esports event aimed at raising funds for Cancer Research UK this Christmas. As a long-time sponsor of CTRL Esports, NTesports is proud to stand behind this initiative and contribute an NTesports bundle raffle prize to support the cause.
About the 2024 CTRL Charity Valorant Tournament
The event will take place from December 13th to 15th, 2024, and promises a thrilling showcase of grassroots talent. The tournament will feature:
- 32-64 teams competing in a double-elimination format, giving participants more opportunities to play.
- A production team comprising talented students from the University of Staffordshire, providing high-quality graphics, commentary, and streams on CTRL Esports’ Twitch channel.
- Teams from Tier 2/3, university leagues, and the Game Changers community.
- Entry fee of £10 per team, with all proceeds going to Cancer Research UK.
CTRL Esports COO, George Lewin, shared his excitement about the event:
“We’re going bigger and better this year, with fantastic production quality thanks to University of Staffordshire resources and the incredible support from our sponsors like NTesports. This event is about bringing the grassroots scene together to compete for a wonderful cause.”
Fun Challenges and Exciting Prizes
The event will also feature:
- Forfeits for casters and CTRL owners, such as ice bucket challenges and even shaving the head of CTRL owner Ben once certain donation milestones are reached.
- A Christmas raffle, offering a chance to win prizes like a Noblechairs gaming chair valued at £500. For just £10, participants receive 10 raffle tickets to allocate toward prizes of their choice.
NTesports is delighted to contribute to the raffle, further incentivising donations for such a great cause.
Partnering with Esports News UK
As part of the charity effort, Esports News UK will be running a livestreamed quiz and interview with the CTRL Esports team:
- Interview: At 3:40 PM GMT on Saturday, December 14th, Esports News UK editor Dom Sacco will chat live with CTRL Esports about their journey and the success of their charity initiatives.
- Quiz: Following the interview, viewers can participate in a UK esports-themed quiz at 4 PM GMT, with Valorant RP prizes for the top three participants.
