NTesports Powers Innovative Esports Education Event with CZY Esports in Kenya

Time to Celebrate

NTesports is proud to announce the renewal of its sponsorship of CZY Esports, a leading grassroots organisation based in Kenya. As part of this ongoing partnership, NTesports proudly supported an inspiring esports education initiative hosted in collaboration with Crawford International School Kenya and Shuffle Personal Computers, a landmark event that placed education, creativity, and community at the heart of gaming in Africa.

The event, which ran alongside Crawford’s Movie Night and Game Jam, was officially powered by NTesports, and marked a bold step forward in professionalising esports education across the region. With immersive setups, educational sessions, and student-led innovation on display, the weekend highlighted the transformative role gaming can play in African education.

🎮 Pre-Event Vision: A Movement Begins

In the lead-up to the event, CZY Esports shared their excitement to work alongside Crawford International School to create a unique Esports Education Showcase, part of a wider build-up to their Esports Education Camp launching in February 2026.

This initiative aimed to bring together multiple schools for an immersive experience that includes:
  • Career Pathways in Esports
  • Game Development Workshops
  • Mental Health & Social Balance
  • Graphic Design & Media Skills
  • Esports Event Management

With support from NTesports, the CZY team, led by Founder Allan Kimani, COO Johann Mackboush, and a dynamic team of educators and creatives, are creating opportunities for young people in Kenya to not only play games, but to learn, lead, and innovate through them.

🎬 The Event: Esports Meets Education

CZY Esports brought a high-energy presence to Crawford’s Movie Night, where students interacted with curated gaming setups and explored the world of esports in a fun, approachable format.

Alongside the entertainment was the Crawford Game Jam, a space where students collaborated to design and pitch their own game concepts. The event became a celebration of Kenya’s creative potential and demonstrated how esports, coding, design, and teamwork can combine into something truly educational.

These activities helped frame esports not just as competition, but as a gateway to creativity, careers, and community.
