NTesports Managing Director Speaks at the 2025 IT Technical & Learning Conference in Wales

This week, our Managing Director, Nik Turner, had the honour of speaking at the prestigious 2025 IT Technical & Learning Conference, held at the stunning Gregynog Hall in Wales. Set within 750 acres of historic gardens and woodlands, this Grade I listed estate offered a fitting and inspirational setting to discuss the future of education and digital infrastructure in the post-16 sector.

The conference theme — “Building Sustainability and Affordability: Continuing to Improve Delivery Standards in a Challenging World” — provided a timely and important framework for discussing how the education sector can continue to innovate amidst increasing pressure on budgets, infrastructure, and learner outcomes.

Representing Yoyotech – Esports for Education and Centerprise International, Nik contributed to conversations surrounding the practical integration of next-generation technologies in education, with a particular focus on:
🎮 The role of esports in enhancing student engagement, digital skills, and career pathways

💻 Learning platforms and the power of immersive, interest-based education

🛡️ The importance of robust cybersecurity and strategic device deployment in safeguarding digital learning environments

🔧 How educational institutions can achieve high-impact outcomes with scalable, cost-effective tech solutions

Nik also shared insights from his work with NTesports, including how colleges, schools, and training providers are leveraging esports facilities not just for competitive gaming, but as fully integrated learning environments that support STEM education, inclusion, digital careers, and student wellbeing.
The event, expertly curated by the ITSysman Group, brought together senior IT leads, learning technologists, and strategic partners from across Wales and the UK. It showcased a strong commitment from the Welsh education sector toward practical, sustainable innovation, especially in support of post-16 education, apprenticeships, and vocational learning.
“To have these conversations in a setting like Gregynog Hall — rich in heritage yet focused on the future — was a real privilege,” Nik commented. “It’s clear that Wales is setting the pace for integrating digital strategy with educational delivery in ways that are both impactful and achievable.”

We are proud to see our Managing Director representing NTesports on such a significant stage, and we remain committed to supporting institutions across the UK as they navigate the evolving landscape of digital and esports education.
